Dodge Challenger R/T Shaker Sold Out in Just Four Days
Dodge has quickly learned that it?s got a very hot product on it hands with the 2014 Challenger R/T Shaker model as all 2,000 units were snatched up within four days of the order books opening on January 7th.
First seen at last year?s SEMA show, the Shaker edition of the popular Challenger adds the throwback ?Shaker? hood scoop and a swanky retro graphics package. The design harks back to the 1970 Challenger R/T that became a cult classic with help from the 1971 film Vanishing Point.
The Shaker hood scoop is perched atop Dodge?s 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 and is free to shake through the open cutout in the Challenger?s hood as the 375 horsepower, 410 pound-feet of torque engine snarls below. The satin-black scoop matches the stripes running along the center of the car and the rear deck-lid spoiler. With the Shaker package also comes the Super Track Pak that includes upgraded steering gear, upgraded brake linings and monotube shocks. Goodyear Eagle F1 tires sized in 245/45R20 are easily morphed into billowing clouds of burning rubber.
Dodge hasn?t given estimates on any performance gains from the Shaker cold air upgrade, but we imagine both the horsepower and torque outputs benefit ? even if ever so slightly ? from having the Shaker installed. Dodge also isn?t saying whether it will produce more Shaker models to match the obvious demand. Honestly, it would be silly not to. The whole kit adds $2,500 to the price of a Challenger R/T Classic, which brings the base price to $36,995 before any (probable) dealer mark-ups.

50 Cent says he hasn?t watched the video of his encounter with Erin Andrews at the 2013 Daytona 500
50 Cent said he hasn't watched this video.
During last year's Daytona 500, the rapper tried to kiss Fox Sports reporter Erin Andrews. As Andrews was walking down pit road during Fox's prerace show last year, she encountered 50 Cent, who immediately went in for a kiss and got stonewalled.
50 Cent is back at Daytona this year, thanks to a sponsorship agreement with Swan Racing. His company, SMS Audio, is an associate sponsor with the team. And when he was asked if he had watched the video of it, he said he hadn't.
"I wanted to kiss her, man," 50 Cent said. "You really want to know? She handled it amazingly too. It was one ... it was just an awkward moment."
"(Watching the video) That's probably what you do. You probably recap and go look at the video. See, I don't actually go back to see the awkward moment I had at the track."
Well, that's good to know. Maybe 50 went for the kiss because he likes the women at NASCAR races. Really, he said that when he was asked about what he's told others about his NASCAR experience.
"Honestly, I told them the women here are extremely hot," 50 Cent said. "And I don't know if you know this, but it's like, the coolest thing to do ? outside of going to church maybe, you can find good women in NASCAR."

Koenigsegg One:1
Rumors about a possible Koenigsegg One:1 special edition started to surface on the Internet a few weeks ago. Until now, it has been rumored that its odd usage of the number one in its name is because it will be a one-off model. New details now suggest that there will be five units built and that the name has nothing to do with the number of units produced.
In an interview with Cars UK, Christian von Koenigsegg reported that the car?s One:1 name is in fact a reference to its power-to-weight ratio — 1 horsepower for every 1 kg of weight. This means that the next supercar will deliver somewhere between 1,250 and 1,350 horsepower, which is a significant increase over the Agera R?s 1,140 horsepower.
Von Koenigsegg also announced that the supercar is still in its early stages of development and a production date is not set. We anticipate that all five units will be sold on the Chinese market, and the price will be near $2 million.
For now, this is all of the information we have on the One:1. We do, however, have our own rendering of what we think this new hypercar will look like, which you can see above. We’ll keep you updated as more information rolls out.

BMW 2 Series Active Tourer
The day has come where we report BMW?s move into building front-wheel-drive cars. It may sound like an April-fools joke, but alas, the 2 Series Active Tourer will be a reality rolling down the street in 2015. The overriding issue, at least in the eyes of BMW purists, is the threat to BMW?s brand identity and exclusivity as the Bavarian company moves towards higher-volume, lower-cost city cars.
Rather than sticking our heads in the sand, let?s take a look at what BMW is set to debut at the Geneva Auto Show on March 4th.
The 2 Series Active Tourer departs from the standard BMW mold with an upright, high-roofed design with passenger comfort, easy of ingress/egress, and cargo capacity as key features. The modular seating for five makes for a handy city runabout with 40/20/40 folding rear seats and a generous rear cargo area. Even the front passenger seat folds flat for hauling long objects. Outward visibility should be quite excellent, making it a competent navigator of congested city streets.
Power comes from three engine options — at least at launch and in Euro-spec form — including a 1.5-liter three-cylinder, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, and a 2.0-liter diesel; all of which are turbocharged. Power is sent through either a six-speed manual or an eight-speed automatic transmission to the front wheels. An xDrive model will come to market during the first year, but after the initial launch.
Exterior design detailing and interior appointments stay true to BMW form with highly recognizable features only found on BMWs. While it may be styled like a BMW, its profile is a huge departure; though the most important factor will remain unanswered until we?re behind the wheel: does it drive like a BMW?
